(In Hell)

Episode 39 : Titan Foiler Destroyed!

Skull Kaiser stands up, brushing himself off. Oketsu starts to laugh and congratulates Skull Kaiser—he is duly impressed. They assume fighting poses and begin fighting once again. Oketsu's body seems different now like it's gelled or solidified somewhat, so that when Skull Kaiser hits him, part of the force does manage to get through. Oketsu's strikes are still punishing and Skull Kaiser knows that the only way to really defeat him is with Ghost Light. Now it seems to be a race, they're trading blows and at this rate, Skull Kaiser will lose, but a great deal of his Ghost Light was depleted in his escape from the Blood of Victims attack. Skull Kaiser knows that he has a choice to make: either wait to build up Ghost Light and risk being beaten by Oketsu's fists, or take a chance, use his remaining Ghost Light and hope that that action itself doesn't cost him the fight by totally exhausting him. As if reading Skull Kaiser's mind, Oketsu laughs and says he doesn't envy Skull Kaiser's decision—and this perceived goading, of course, makes Skull Kaiser decide on the latter course of action. He continues the melee, fighting mostly defensively, then sets up Oketsu so he can't miss with the Kaiser Beam. With an acrobatic back-and-forth, Skull Kaiser does trick Oketsu and fires the Kaiser Beam, which drops the smoldering Oketsu in his tracks. Skull Kaiser stands for a moment, then collapses himself.

We cut to Titan Foiler, stomping down the corridors of Gran Mal, heading towards the engine room. On his way, he's cut off by Agrippa who says that Titan Foiler has something he wants. Titan Foiler sounds incredulous and tells Agrippa to try and take it whatever it is. Smiling, Agrippa performs his Tabehoudai attack, but before the sphere can reach Titan Foiler, the Titan Lance stabs Agrippa just under his ribs on his left side and stops the Tabehoudai cold. Titan Foiler laughs and says that Agrippa is too slow, that it's no wonder he fell first to Skull Kaiser, and that their troubles must be due to some other reason since Agrippa is so weak. Titan Foiler shoots another lance, but Agrippa moves his head out of the way in time. Agrippa is angry and concerned: he didn't want to engage Titan Foiler hand to hand if he didn't have to, but the Tabehoudai WAS too slow. Another lance shoots forward, but Agrippa slaps it away, leaps forward and lands a solid punch in Titan Foiler's face. At first Titan Foiler seems stunned, then he begins to laugh, saying that perhaps Agrippa is a little faster than he thought, but he's just as weak as he guessed. Agrippa's eyes go wide as the Titan Lance pushes out through his kidney in stepped, 6-inch increments. Titan Foiler backfists Agrippa off of the blade with his free hand and Agrippa goes flying. Titan Foiler says that's enough, Phantasma King is the one he's really interested in. The door to the engine room is about 100 yards down.

When the door controls don't respond, Titan Foiler punches the door once leaving a huge dent, then uses the Titan Lance to carve an opening. He sees Phantasma King, working at a frantic pace and knows that he's set Gran Mal's reactor to overload. Phantasma King doesn't seem to notice Titan Foiler who takes careful aim at his heart through his back. Agrippa has gotten up and running to assist, he shouts for Phantasma King to be careful. Phantasma King turns at the last minute and manages to get mostly out of the way, but has his left shoulder pinned to the wall by the Titan Lance. Reacting from reflex and rage, Phantasma King performs the Phantasma Spiral which causes Titan Foiler to retract his blade and stagger backwards a bit. Agrippa arrives, puts Titan Foiler in a full nelson, and tells Phantasma King to give it everything he's got. With his left arm hanging limp, Phantasma King raises up his right fore-knuckle and the Whirl Plate begins to shine furiously. Phantasma King howls as his power builds and then he delivers the Phantasma Screw. He pours everything into the attack and the corkscrew eventually begins to chink away little bits of Titan Foiler's armor near his solar plexus. Finally spent, Phantasma King collapses. Agrippa says that this is the end for Titan Foiler and performs the Tabehoudai again. At first it doesn't seem to work, but then there is a drain effect from where Phantasma King breached the armor and the armor begins to lose its silver luster, as Agrippa's color begins to change, to become silver. The image of the Titan Star over Titan Foiler's breast fades and appears upon Agrippa. With the exchange, Agrippa heals and brims with power. He presses on Titan Foiler's head and there is a snapping noise. Titan Foiler falls, his armor gray and dull as lead, leaving Agrippa marveling at what he's become: Titan Agrippa.
