It's Last Year All Over Again...

...which means I'm another year older. Oh well.

To commemorate this, as I have for the last several years now, books 1, 2, and my 3 short stories will be free for download at Amazon.com from August 4th through August 8th.

As mentioned previously here, a version of Blue Squad: One Last Go is actually a chapter in book 6. Also, the two Ghost Squad stories help with some background information on characters appearing in book 5 and 6.

Thanks, as always, for your support!

The Damnation Reprieve - Updated & Complete

Approaching Infinity: Book Six has been updated to include the content intended for The Assembled Powers.

This version of Book Six, now available for (re-)download, concludes the Approaching Infinity series.

Additionally, in celebration of completion and the Holidays, Books One & Two and my three short stories will be free for download from 12/25 through 12/29.
(Blue Squad: One Last Go, though reproduced with minor changes in Book Six, will continue to remain available from Amazon as it was originally published.)

Happy Holidays!

The Assembled Powers: Progress Report 3

Approaching Infinity: Book Seven
29,700 words

Things are moving along nicely. It may be possible to knock this out before the end of the year. Not sure yet, so we'll have to wait and see. Not much else to say about it, so I'll keep my head down and keep writing.

Don't forget, though, that you can get the first two books and the short stories here for free from today through Wednesday, August 5!

Another Year Older...

I did it last year. I'm doing it this year. I'll probably do it next year.

From August 1st through August 5th, Books One & Two and my three short stories will be free for download from Amazon.

Please note that a slightly revised version Blue Squad: One Last Go will appear in Book Seven: The Assembled Powers.

The Damnation Reprieve: Progress Report 8 (FINAL)

Approaching Infinity: Book Six is available for pre-order (to be delivered May 27) from Amazon.com.

In celebration, Books One &Two and my three short stories will be free for download from Wednesday, May 27 through Sunday, May 31. The short stories are not critical to the series, but the Ghost Squad stories help to fill in some background information on Geiss Sinzer while the Blue Squad story is essentially a preview of Book Seven, the final book in the Approaching Infinity series.

The Loss Queen: Progress Report 8 (FINAL)

Approaching Infinity: Book Five is available for pre-order (to be delivered October 31st) from Amazon.com!

In celebration, Books One & Two and my three short stories will be free for download from Friday, October 31 through Tuesday, November 4.

Happy Halloween! And thanks for your support!

Happy Birthday!

To celebrate my progress on The Loss Queen (and my birthday), The Artifact Competition, The Gun Golems, and my three short stories will be free for a week, starting tomorrow!

Free Is Good

From Monday, June 9th through Friday, June 13th (!), both The Artifact Competition and The Gun Golems will be free for download from Amazon.com.

Just Because...

The Artifact Competition free promotion is going so well, that I decided to add my short stories to the mix.

From Friday, March 21st, The Sinzer Rebellion, Kalkin's Dilemma, and Blue Squad: One Last Go will all be free through the weekend! Huzzah!

The Path to Loss: Progress Report 15 (FINAL)

Approaching Infinity: Book Four is live and available from Amazon.com!

In celebration, Book One, The Artifact Competition, will be free for download from Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21.

Thanks, as always, for your continued support!

Free for a Week!

Well, for five days, anyway (10/8 - 10/12), the following eBooks will be FREE at Amazon.com:

The Artifact Competition
The Sinzer Rebellion
Kalkin's Dilemma
Blue Squad: One Last Go

Download! Enjoy! Review!

Free Promotion!

The Artifact Competition, Book 1 of the Approaching Infinity series, will be free for download at Amazon.com May 1st through 5th! (US, UK, Canada, Japan)

The Path to Loss: Progress Report 3

Approaching Infinity: Book Four
35,400 Words

Still moving along nicely. Part 1 of 3 is complete; part 2 is well under way.

To celebrate, The Artifact Competition will be free for download from March 1st (today!) through  March 4th.

Download it! Read it! Review it! Love it or hate it, I want to hear what you have to say!

I feel kind of guilty for not posting anything besides progress reports these days, but progress is good, right?

Merry Christmas!

The Artifact Competition and my three short stories will be free for download from Amazon.com (any Amazon site that supports Kindle) on Christmas Day!

Go to www.amazon.com/author/chriseisenlauer or use the scrolling shop at right!

Back to KDP Select (with Free Stuff!)

I thought the extra visibility Smashwords offered would be a plus over exclusivity at Amazon, but so far it hasn't been.

So I decided to return to KDP Select. On Monday, October 15th, just about all of my stuff will be free on Amazon.com here: https://www.amazon.com/author/chriseisenlauer

Back to Smashwords

After giving Amazon's KDP Select Program a try for several months, I've decided to put my stuff back up at Smashwords. In a few days, everything should start showing up at various other online bookstores (B&N, iTunes, etc.).

The KDP Select Program allows for 5 days of free promotions within a 3-month period in addition to potentially paying out for Amazon Prime members "borrowing" enrolled titles. I've had a single instance of someone borrowing one of my titles, so the free promotions are really the only benefit I've seen.

I still love Amazon to death, but the return business following free promotions has dropped to almost zero in a very short period of time. Now, granted, simply being free on Amazon gets the books and short stories noticed, but I have a feeling that the majority of people downloading are people who download a lot of free content and whether or not they ever get around to reading what they've downloaded for free is questionable. This is not a complaint, just an exercise in logic. Hopefully there will be some benefit in this return to general exposure and expansion of choice.
