The Damnation Reprieve - Updated & Complete

Approaching Infinity: Book Six has been updated to include the content intended for The Assembled Powers

This version of Book Six, now available for (re-)download, concludes the Approaching Infinity series.

Additionally, in celebration of completion and the Holidays, Books One & Two and my three short stories will be free for download from 12/25 through 12/29.
(Blue Squad: One Last Go, though reproduced with minor changes in Book Six, will continue to remain available from Amazon as it was originally published.)

Happy Holidays!

The Assembled Powers: Progress Report 7

Approaching Infinity: Book Seven
59,300 words

Well, here we are. The title of this post is somewhat misleading, because, in the end, there will be no Book Seven. That's not to say that the series won't be brought to a proper end and perhaps sooner than expected.

Edits aside, the book is essentially done. It didn't quite make my intended word count, but I don't believe it suffers for that. Rather than put out a conclusion that some may feel is too short on its own, I will be reissuing Book Six with all of the Book Seven content included.

For those of you who have already purchased Book Six, you will only need to re-download after the reissue to get the extra bit (there won't be an additional charge).

This was a tough decision, fueled somewhat by word count and somewhat by the loss of my cover artist. In the end, I think it works. Originally, the series was supposed to be six books long, so nothing is lost (and the powers do, indeed, assemble).

Anyway, bear with me. I will be going through, making edits, then formatting for Kindle. It should be ready before the end of the month/year. That's something, huh?

I haven't exactly been taking a break, but have been pretty busy with real life. Also trying to address some logistical issues and am wrestling with a big decision regarding... uh... format. I still need a cover which is only a third to half my problem. Fear not, though. A conclusion is in sight and is definitely coming. Stay tuned!

Not as productive this month, but I’m not complaining either. Closing in on the end and then will have to spend some time (perhaps quite a bit?) on polishing. I’m in a bit of a spot regarding the cover, though. My usual artist won’t be able to continue with me, so if anyone out there knows of an e-book cover artist that might be a good fit for what’s come so far and is interested, please let me know.

I have mixed feelings about coming to the end of the series. Several threads will continue beyond so the Approaching Infinity world is by no means dead, but quite frankly, I don’t know if I ever really believed I’d get to this point. It should go without saying, but I’m glad that I have. I’m glad I didn’t beat my head against the wall, hoping for a legacy deal, and that I just decided to embrace Amazon and all it had to offer. It’s been very gratifying being able to tell Jav’s story, even if only to a very limited audience. Thanks to all of you who’ve come along for the ride!

It's been a good month. The rough draft should be done in the next couple of months, but it might take me a bit longer than it has so far to polish this one.

The summer here has been hot, wet, and brutal (and none of that in a good way). We've been spared the brunt of several hurricanes, for which I'm grateful, but soooo ready for fall-like conditions!

Things are moving along nicely. It may be possible to knock this out before the end of the year. Not sure yet, so we'll have to wait and see. Not much else to say about it, so I'll keep my head down and keep writing.

Don't forget, though, that you can get the first two books and the short stories here for free from today through Wednesday, August 5!
