Episode 17 : The Trap House

This episode opens with Samhain berating Titan Foiler. He seems to be taking out all his frustrations on the leader of the Darkness Squad, and Titan Foiler is taking it like a good retainer. Samhain tells him that Skull Kaiser and Phantasma King have already gotten deep into Nou Wire's territory, that Nou Wire's troops are useless without the Relic Cords to guide them, so the territory is completely unprotected. Skull Kaiser and Phantasma King will arrive in the Machine General's territory very soon and that's very dangerous, since it's the last line of defense for the Root Palace, where Samhain is located. Luckily, Machine General Gear Binder has been busy and despite Skull Kaiser's progress, the tables could well be turned. We cut to Skull Kaiser and Phantasma King who are taking a brief rest on their journey. Skull Kaiser has just finished installing Gran Mid's Fire Circuit into the Kaiser Bones. As the two are discussing the merits of the upgrade, the atmosphere becomes odd, eerie, and it starts to change. Suddenly they are in the middle of walled yard, like that of a prison. Ahead lies a huge gatehouse, which seems to be the only way out. They look at each other, nod, and proceed to enter. The moment they do, they both fall down separate chutes. The place is riddled with traps and each finds his way and is able to deal with one of Gear Binder's three commanders. They meet up eventually and together they defeat the third commander and find the exit. We cut to Kali Dharma begging Titan Foiler to be sent after Skull Kaiser and Phantasma King. Titan Foiler looks to Dust Pharaoh, standing in the background with his arms folded. After a moment, Dust Pharaoh just shakes his head and exits with an air of disgust. The episode ends with Titan Foiler reluctantly agreeing to send her.
