Tragic Providence: Progress Report 12

King Yellow: Tragic Providence
78,500 words

Still clocking in at a good speed. Will likely not be done by year's end, but shouldn't be later than sometime in February. I hope. Cross your fingers with me.

Yet another good month! Things are moving quite nicely and I'm mostly done with the 2nd arc, but now I'm not so sure where it puts me as far as estimating a finishing date. I'd hoped for a December release, which still may be possible, but I can't be sure that that's what will happen. It's all to the good, though. Momentum has been steady and looks to be maintainable.

Pretty decent progress once again and this volume is filling out. It will be longer than I thought, but I'm going to stick to my original plan and release it all in one rather than break it up. It feels so good to be able to commit to words ideas that have been swirling around my brain for like 10 years now. Also, I do believe I've just secured the cover. Schweet.

Yikes, and away! (It may actually be yoicks, but I'm good with yikes.)

August was a very good month. I've completed the first major arc of the story and am well into the second. Quite pleased with my own progress, if I may say so. Though, I do have some scrawny months to make up for. Anyway, WOOHOO! Progress!

It's Last Year All Over Again...

...which means I'm another year older. Oh well.

To commemorate this, as I have for the last several years now, books 1, 2, and my 3 short stories will be free for download at Amazon.com from August 4th through August 8th.

As mentioned previously here, a version of Blue Squad: One Last Go is actually a chapter in book 6. Also, the two Ghost Squad stories help with some background information on characters appearing in book 5 and 6.

Thanks, as always, for your support!

Ah, summer... Thankfully it's almost over.

Some more progress this last month, but still not exactly where I'd like to be. I am, however, closing in on the end of the first part of the book (part 1 of 3), so that's something. Stay tuned!

Woohoo! Not zero this month! Still slower than I’d hoped, but measurable progress nonetheless. I've also been inadvertently brainstorming another story idea, one which may end up jumping the queue. We shall see, though. First things first.

Oh, and an early happy 4th to everyone!

May was a bust. A complete and utter bust. Too busy with too many things. (Damn you, Real Life!) I promise not to have zero output for June, though.

Moseying along at about 5k words per month, which isn't bad, but I do hope to increase the pace in the near future. Stay tuned!

With friends and family visiting from Japan and a short jaunt to Maui for Easter weekend, I don't feel too bad about progress for March. No more excuses moving forward, though. At least not for a few months, anyway.

Tragic Providence: Progress Report 3

King Yellow: Tragic Providence

A bit sluggish again this last month, but with more family visiting, it couldn’t be helped. March is looking the same with family AND friends visiting. Wouldn’t change that if I could. Still moving forward, though, which is great, and still promise to have something out by year’s end.

For those of you who purchased The Damnation Reprieve prior to its re-release in December 2015, it looks like you may have to contact Amazon customer support to get the additional contentand for this you have my sincerest apologies. I wrongly thought that it would be a simple matter of re-downloading the book once the new version was live, but I was mistaken. I’ve requested that Amazon send out updates to all pre-December customers, but they are reluctant to do so because it would wipe out bookmarks, annotations, etc. I believe that any request you make should be honored since you would be giving your consent to have the new content overwrite the old. Unfortunately, I can’t undo this, but I can make sure that it doesn’t happen again. Thank you, as always, for your support!

Tragic Providence: Progress Report 2

King Yellow: Tragic Providence

Have been busy with other things, so not too much of a jump forward this last month. I will promise right now, though, to have something to show before year's end.

One thing I am trying to do is read more. I couldn't believe that I'd gone all of 2015 without reading a book! Well, finishing one, anyway. Off to a good start this year in that respect, and I feel better for it. It's all research in the end, anyway, so there are only benefits. Thanks, Goodreads, for keeping me honest!

Tragic Providence: Progress Report 1

King Yellow: Tragic Providence

Happy New Year!

The Approaching Infinity series is complete, but there are still stories set in that world yet to be told. King Yellow: Tragic Providence will chronicle the origin of Samhain and his First Generation Shades, bringing us up to the point of Pylas Crier's imprisonment. I hope to follow this up with another volume detailing Crier's quest for Leilia Purpurata, which will reunite us with some familiar characters.

I'm shooting for another December release, but time will tell.

Thank you all for your continued support!
